USB Mass Storage Class offers driverless install Windows XP, 2000 and ME. Supports
most 2.5" HDD up to 100 GB. The USB hard drive enclosure is easy to connect by plug-n-play. Combines enclosure and 1394 repeater functionality.
Build-in DC-DC converter enabling 1394 bus power. Maximizes thermal protection with Aluminum
construction. Provides robust HDD fixing mechanism to reduce risk of HDD damage during movement. Prevents drop
damage to HDD with anti-shock design.
The shock absorbing mounting systems
hold the HDD stable in place while installed into the firewire hard drive enclosure, protecting valuable data from violent movement or drops. The built-in power
switch allows users to shut down the hard drive without removing the power supply. ToughDrive enclosures are
versatile enough to accommodate virtually any off the shelf 2.5" IDE hard drive. Take advantage of the intelligent
design of the CoolGear HDD enclosure and secure your data in style. This unit can also act as a usb 2.0 drive, usb is incorporated into the enclosure via the usb port. This unit serves a dual purpose as a firewire hard drive enclosure case to support both usb and firewire technology.

Important Technical Information:
As with all electronic devices, it is suggested to observe ESD precausions when assembling your HDD into the enclosure. The ToughDrive USB 2.0 / Firewire 400 mini case is also available in
a USB 2.0 / Firewire 800 version. Images below show the Firewire 400 with USB 2.0 and the Firewire 800 series enclosures.
