The firewire external USB hard drive enclosure supports Hi-Speed USB data transfer speed of up to 480Mbps, and IEEE 1394a data transfer speed of up to 400Mbps. Important Technical Information:

Care must be taken when removing the top cover to install your drive. The inner tray is not removable and if forced, damage could occur to the inner circuit. To properly disassemble the enclosure for hard drive install, make sure that all necessary tools and ESD accessories are available, this includes small philips head screw driver, ESD wrist strap and and ESD anti static mat if available. ESD protection is recommended when working with any electronics of a highly sensitive nature. The BlueEye series is also available in a larger USB 2.0 / Firewire version for 5.25 inch drives.
